Dugan Irby is a 23-year-old Wyoming born and raised singer songwriter in the Americana tradition, whose music lives in his deep Southern and Western roots. His vocals have a rich Southern warmth and connection, and his lead guitar work comes from the Clapton school of both electric and acoustic blues.
The son of a Southern preacher’s son and Western Deadhead mother, he cut his teeth and honed his craft playing in tough Wyoming bars since he was 15, where he made a name for himself all across the region.
Irby moved to Colorado to expand his writing into the space between belief and rebellion, heartbreak and hope, where every song is a lived experience, grounded in real people, real moments and a life lived in the West.
His live shows unfold like a continuous story, built on dynamic highs and lows that mirror the emotion in the stories that inspired the music. With a full band, the performances carry weight and depth; solo, they become intimate and introspective, focused on genuine connection. Irby spent most of 2025 writing and recording his first solo album, ten tracks that feature his stories, voice, acoustic and electric guitar playing, marking a new chapter defined by clarity, purpose, and momentum. But don’t take our word for it, here are what some of the writers say:
Dugan has the voice of an old soul, the songwriting of the best in that craft and he is one hell of a great lead guitar player.” Chris Daniels, producer and Grammy nominee, 2026.
